The former president of MNACI has sworn in as the new president of International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors’ Association (IFAWPCA) during the closing ceremony of its 44th convention. The outgoing president was Mr. Datuk Matthew Tee Kai Woon.
Mr. Mohamed Ali Janah, the newest IFAWPCA president following his swearing in stated that he was looking forward to the full support of the association’s secretariat to make the 2020 convention a ‘’wholesome experience and a better event than previous conventions.”
The 45th IFAWPCA convention, slated for the year 2020 in the Maldives for the first time since its entry into the IFAWPCA community back in 2007.
The 2020 convention’s theme according to their official website is “Construction with Conservation- Endless Opportunities” which will be “carefully chosen to highlight the importance of conservation” in developing a nation. This year’s theme was “Strategic Alliance with Innovation and Human Capital” which was organized by Master Builders Association of Malaysia (MBAM) since the convention was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 12 to 16.
Apart from Mr. Ali Janah, the contractors’ association’s new secretary general is Mr. Abdulla Mohamed while the organizing co-chair for the IFAWPCA 2020 convention is Mr. Abdulla Salih
